Founding partner Lee Soffer brings decades of experience in many fields, making his designs unique and cutting edge.

A native of Israel with a lifelong passion for nature and architecture, he brings vision, knowledge, and experience that blends the two.

“I have always loved to remodel and design spaces. My career spans over 30 years, from the East Coast to the West Coast, where I designed high-end residential homes and specialized in the contemporary style, says Lee.”

Lee’s greatest reward has always been having connections with his clients and creating livable designs that can improve people’s lives.

“In essence, the clients are the real designer,” Lee explains. “My role as a builder and designer is to interpret their vision.”

Lee grew up in a family that fostered his passion for architecture. He realized that his love for art transferred to the design and build aspects of the construction industry at a young age. In 1989, he decided to pursue a career in construction and remodeling with this newly found passion.

“My Los Angeles-based remodeling company, RDM, was established over two decades ago. Since then, we have maintained a firm grasp on the high-end residential market while continuing to expand into other areas like restaurants and land development.”

The concept of modern, artful design combined with comfortable, contemporary living remains a fundamental component of Lee’s expert approach. He begins each project with a hand-drawn sketch that reflects the client’s vision and tangibly connects the people to their place by putting pen to paper.

The hallmark of Lee’s design philosophy is connection. First, he connects with clients on a personal level to understand their needs, their dreams, and their lifestyles. Next, he connects to the site, determining how the landscape will affect the orientation of the building, and each person’s overall experience, from the entry point to the pitch of the roof. The final connection is a seamless flow between the environment, the building, and the people who use it.

Each custom design acts as a gathering place. Whether it’s a commercial space or a luxury home, architecture brings people together through livable design. Each building enhances the ambiance and experience of the landscape, adding details, and even definition, to its natural surroundings.

Like many other companies, 2020 was not an easy year. For us, 2021 began as a year of growth. We recognized the potential in the Dallas area and decided to open our 3rd office and design studio. Our newest location is based out of Plano, at the innovative Samsung campus.

“Good designs improve lives,” Lee states.

When he is not on the job sites or at his drafting table, you’ll find Lee outside, reconnecting with nature or perfecting his riding skills on his Friesian horse.
